Utility Billing System
The Tailored Business Systems Utility Billing System is designed
to provide the maximum in flexibility for the user. You can add
or delete services, change rates and meters, and keep extensive
history of consumption and billing data by meter number, location
and consumer.
Customer searches can be made by name, meter location, or customer
number. Many cities have a terminal at their counter to inquire
into the status of customers accounts when taking payments or
handling customer billing questions. This terminal can provide
many functions of a cash register as well as on-line account
status data. It can also handle other payments, such as taxes,
business licenses, and fines.
The system bills metered and un-metered services, deposits,
taxable and non-taxable customers, and allows service charges
on a selected basis.
- System handles up to 99 different metered (water,
gas, and electric demand) or non-metered (sanitation)
services, as well as 999 different non-utility
revenue accounts.
- Meter books, utility bills, bank drafts, cut-off
lists, and delinquency notices.
- Support for cash drawers and/or receipt printers.
- Meter books printed in route sequence.
- Billing, payment, and meter history by customer
kept indefinitely.
- Cash receipting interfaces to Occupational Tax,
Municipal Property Tax and Miscellaneous Receipts.
- Statistics by consumer, consumer type, and consumption
ranges.
- Consumer searches by name, meter location, customer
number, or social security number.
- Revenue, payments and penalties distributed to
the appropriate fund and account number.
- Ability to utilize hand held meter reader devices.
- Interfaces to Financial Reporting System.
